The session focused on demonstrating Wi-Fi troubleshooting and design tools, with Ferney showcasing the Sidos Wave device and its roaming app for capturing and analyzing client roaming events and packet captures. He also briefly introduced the WLANPros Toolbox and its educational features. The main part of the class was an initial walkthrough of the WavelyFi Wi-Fi design tool, where Ferney created a project, imported a floor plan, and discussed its features for drawing walls and planning networks. The conversation included updates on industry news, such as Dobias leaving HPE and potentially joining Ekahau, and general discussions about the state of various Wi-Fi vendors. Participants from different countries joined, and the class was informal and interactive.
